Country Club Village Civics Association will hold a car wash on Saturday, August 14th in front of the Food Pac store on Old Shell Road at Lavretta Park. The price is $5.00 per vehicle and all proceeds will go back to help fund community projects.

Alabama State Law requires dog's cats and ferrets to have a current Rabies Vaccine.

All dogs within the City limits of Mobile over three months of age are required to be licensed. A license may be purchased during normal office hours, including 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 pm on Saturday. Proof of current rabies inoculation is required for all license purchases.

Unaltered Dog - $15.00

Citizens over the age of 65

Officials seek input for I-10 Bridge

A meeting will be held on Aug 31 at the Texas Street Community center, 540 Texas St from 5 to 7pm.


RAP-A-HOPE BENEFIT
Aug 21

University of Alabama sportscaster Eli Gold will be the featured speaker at the "Champions for Camp Rap-A-Hope" benefit reception and dinner Aug 21 at the Renaissance Riverview Hotel. Gold will speak at the 7pm dinner along with 14 year old cancer survivor Ryan Gentry of Citronelle. The event benefits the camp which, for the last 25 years, has provided a summer camp environment for children ages 7-17 with cancer. Gold will also appear at a reception and silent auction an hour before dinner. Tickets for the reception and dinner are $250 each, or $150 for the dinner only. For reservations call 251-476-9880.


Photo Contest

United Cerebral Palsy's Cute As Can Be Photo Contest will be held Aug 26-28. Participating families should visit Bel Air Mall between 10am and 7pm and enter their child through 12 years of age for $5. The entry fee includes a complimentary 5x7 color photofraph by instant Photo Corporation of
America. Photos will be on display at the mall from Sep 9-12 for voting. One dollar equals 100 votes, and all funds raised benefit UCP's programs for children and adults with disabilities. For more information call Marty Wheeler at 251-479-4900.


Grant Workshop

Sherrie Graham will present "Introduction to Grants: Revenue Development for Long-Term Sustainability," Aug 15-17 at Davidson High School 3900 Pleasant Valley Road, from 6-8pm each evening. for information e-mail sherrie@baycoastcp.com. Bike Tour de Beach

A wine and Cheese Party to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society's 2010 MS Bike Tour de Beach, will be from 6-8pm Aug 26 at the Chataway Cafe 4366 Old Shell Rd. Tickets are available for a donation of $25. Raffle tickets are also available for $1 each or 10 for $8. Prizes from area businesses will be raffled off during the fundraiser. Family Fun Day

McAllister's will hold a family fun day on Saturday from 10a.m. to 2p.m. to help the America Cancer Society fring awareness of the importance of early detection and prevention of cancer. The restaurant will donate 10% of its sales that day to the American Cancer Society.
